It is used during processing of rubber, for leather tanning, for processing of food and also for production of anti freezing agents.  Offered chemical is also used as suitable intermediate during formulation of various medicinal products and as active ingredient to produce cleaning agents.  Strongly acidic by content, it easily dilutes in water and in C2H5OH.
